Employee Success Story
Customer Support Manager
What position did you start in at i2r?
I started at i2r as a Production Operative in 2008.
How did you work your way up into the position you are in currently?
I started off working as a Production Operative and I was then promoted to Senior Production Operative. Whilst pregnant I then helped out in QA doing Admin. When I returned from maternity, I came back into Production, but then an Admin Assistant position became available and having been successful in that role, I was promoted to Senior Administrator. From this, my progression was recognised and I was given the opportunity to become the new Customer Support Manager.
What challenges have you faced to get to where you are now and how have you overcome them?
The biggest problem for me has always been the language barrier, with Polish being my first language, but working in an office surrounded by English people has helped massively for me to learn the English language and I also did a course at TCAT to help me to learn the English language.
Do you feel that i2r offers sufficient training and support in order for employees to be successful?
The training and support that’s available now is definitely much better than when I first started here and will continue and spread across all departments.
What are your favourite things about working at i2r?
My favourite things about working at i2r are that it’s very much a family feel and I class all my colleagues as a second family. There is lots of support available and it’s also a very friendly and positive atmosphere. I feel that everyone is very passionate about their jobs and the work that they do.
Would you recommend friends/family to work at i2r and why?
Yes, I would recommend friends and family to work here, because there is opportunity to progress, everyone is really nice and friendly and there is lots of opportunity for training and development.
