i2r are very proud of Ollie Stevens who won the Design Team of the Year award at the Foodservice Packaging Association (FPA) Awards last week (7th March.)

Ollie is based in the UK but produces all the CAD designs across the container group, he also designed the innovational ‘Ultra’ design – which, through the clever design, reduces material yet adds strength and is used by customers across the globe.

Judged by an independent panel, and sponsored by Go-Pak, the award recognises in-house packaging and product design teams for creativity and inventiveness in providing solutions to meet customer’s needs.

Having only recently started the journey into the foodservice world, and being shortlisted against 4 strong contenders from the industry, i2r were delighted to win the award.

With the name i2r short for ‘Innovation 2 Realist’, winning this award really shows that innovation is at the heart of the company!

Apprentice Abigail Jones was also shortlisted for an award. Up against some very strong competition for the Rising Star Award. Abbie went through interviews with the judging panel in order to be shortlisted and we are very proud of her for making it so far in the competition!
