Today we celebrate and thank i2r UK Tooling Engineer - Tom Betts and i2r UK Warehouse Assistant Manager - James Bailey, for their10 years of service and dedication to i2r!
Tom joined i2r as an engineering apprentice, successfully gaining training and qualifications to become a dedicated and valued member of the team
As i2r has grown, so has Tom’s skill set. He has continued to improve his skills as an engineer and as a role model to our new apprentices who he now acts as a mentor to.
Tooling Manager Owain Hughes commented; ‘Tom is extremely dutiful and flexible in his work. No job is too big or small for Tom, he is always happy to have a go at something new, never hesitating when given the opportunity to help.
It is great to celebrate someone who has continued to improve throughout their years of service, especially as they are now key in the training of new team members who will be part of the future of i2r.’
James Bailey joined the business working in production as a Shift Manager before moving to work in warehousing.
i2r’s Logistics Operations Manager Anthony McDermott commented; ‘James is a well-respected member of the team, regularly going over and above in his duties. James has demonstrated his innovation skills through developing new systems currently in use to improve productivity and health and safety and has implemented 5S processes across the business.
James has also introduced an extensive on-boarding process for new employees helping them feel comfortable working in their new environment.
Having ambition to progress, James has undertaken his Level 5 Leadership and Management qualification to broaden his knowledge and skillset.
Over his 10 years with i2r James has become a competent manager, knowledgeable and charismatic, he is a fantastic asset to the company.’
